Sometimes blessings come from unexpected places. One day one of my teachers told me she had an old table that I could have if I wanted it. A free table?? How could I say no? (I did offer to pay her but she wouldn't hear of it.)
So here's what greeted me when I went to pick it up:
This antique drop-leaf table had already been given a face lift a few years ago. It was in desperate need of a new do!
Chevron's been a popular pattern this year, so I decided to paint the top in a chevron pattern. It takes a while to tape it off, but I think it's worth it, don't you?
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White and Maison Blanche La Craie Wrought Iron to paint the chevron top.
The legs got two coats of ASCP Provence. I topped it all off with clear and dark waxes.
It was fun breathing new life into her. She must have felt rejuvenated, too. She ran out the door just two hours after I took her to the shop!
